First Nations Yarning Circle

FCAN’s First Nations Yarning Circle was formed in 2015 to support and assist financial counsellors in NSW who identify as First Nations and/or First Nations heritage.

Each month the Yarning Circle meets to provide professional development and support to our First Nations members as well as developing culturally inclusive professional development for FCAN members.

In June 2022 the Yarning Circle held the “Great Escape” cultural day at Birpai Land Council. It was the first time the land council had welcomed guests since February 2020. The cultural day preceded two days of professional development.

FCAN also hosts the First Nations training and cultural days (invitation only) alongside our annual conference.
